If you're visiting Pōneke Wellington make sure you come over to Eastbourne and spend a day exploring our beautiful bays. Pop in to Goldie to say hello and check out a few of my other favourites:

Cruise over on the Ferry
The best way to get over to Eastbourne is aboard an East by West Ferry. Treat yourself to a drink from the onboard bar and enjoy the best views of Wellington harbour.

Pause Yoga
Eastbourne is lucky to be home to one of the most stunning yoga studios, Pause Yoga. An architecturally designed beauty nestled in the trees at Days Bay, it's a truly magical experience unlike anything else. Located about ten minutes walk up the hill from the ferry in Day's Bay, if you can time your visit and book a class it's well worth a visit.

ESSC Eats
A local favourite, ESSC Eats was founded by local foodies Mark and Rebecca. Based at the Eastbourne Sports and Services Club they are known for their delicious burgers and dumplings. If you find yourself in the Bays between 4-8pm on a Thursday–Sunday, drop in for a delicious bite and soak up some of the best views in Eastbourne.

Butterfly Creek
A visit to Eastbourne isn't complete without a hike up Butterfly Creek. There are multiple paths, but my go-to starts at Muritai Park (located between 259 and 261 Muritai Road). It takes about 30 minutes to get to the top and from there you can either continue on to Butterfly Creek on the other side, or head back down. It's a decent hill climb but the views make it more than worthwhile!

Tartines
Whilst we are lucky to have a number of delicious cafes in Eastbourne, Tartines is worth a special mention for it's authentic French pastries. It's hard to choose a favourite but I can't go past the almond croissant! They have a covered courtyard but if it's a sunny day I'd recommend picking up a takewaway and heading down to the beach for a picnic.

I hope you enjoy exploring a few of my Eastbourne favourites.
